An animation using data derived from the 19th century photographer Eadweard Muybridge's book 'Animals in Motion'.

Eadweard Muybridge is famous for taking lots of pictures of people and animals moving in front of a grid, although that's not all he did. His original book has been out of print for many years, but 'Animals in Motion' and another book 'The Human Figure in Motion' were brought out in the 1950's, and are still in print.
