Some friends are putting together a horror/ fantasy film set at the start of the industrial revolution. While most of the action is going to be live, they are considering some CGI elements for a scene requiring a machine, to be mostly organic but with a stream age influence, referred to as the 'Soul Refinery'. They asked me if I could come up with some ideas. This is the first part in something that will be much more complex, and my first attempt at producing something disgusting. Lots of throwing things together by eye with not much planning and using the more organic modelling tools in truepace. In the animation you can see the heart shaped part pulsating as the arm rocks and the cylinder squashes and stretches.
